A notice issued from the office of Dean Student Welfare, PU to release the ID of hostel residents

In the notice, it has been stated that the elections are likely to be held in the 2nd or 3rd week of October. If permission for the same is granted by the UT administration, then for this identity cards to the hostel residents must be issued so that they won't be harassed at the time of checking.

As per sources, PUCSC elections are likely to be held on14th of October.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu is going to visit on October 8 for an hour-long air show to mark Indian Air Force (IAF) day. Due to this visit, The administration has yet not taken any decision on the final election date, as most of the Police force is anticipated to be deployed towards the President's visit.

However the student parties are worried if the elections are to take place on October 14, as they are left with little to no time for campaigning due to upcoming holidays.
