Today on "Maan Ki Baat " Radio program, our PM Modi declared to name Chandigarh Airport in namesake to Bhagat Singh. Along with this major announcement he also addressed the citizens about other major events coming along the way.
He reminded about the importance of self reliant India . He further pitched the idea about "vocal for local" and thus suggested people to buy locally sourced and manufactured goods for the upcoming festival. He suggested these ideas in accordance to the upcoming Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti that will be celebrated on 2 October.
Modi also paid tribute to the late Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader Deendayal Upadhyaya whose birth anniversary falls today. His vision for integral humanism and justice was worth appreciation.
He further expressed his happiness for cheetah returning back to India and assured the animals home will be available for visiting after few months of their acclimatisation to the new environment.
He also expressed his keen interest to see National Games which are going to held after so long. He also mentioned our country fight for a Tuberculosis free nation.
