Threads has landed into legal complications within 24 hours of its launch.Twitter threatens to sue Meta over creating copycat application Threads. Twitter Lawyer Alex Spiro has sent a letter to the CEO of Meta,Mark Zuckerberg accusing them of using the trade secret of blue bird app to build Threads.He stated that Meta had engaged in “systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property"to develop threads.
Threads has become the most rapidly downloaded application ever by receiving 30M+sign ups in 24 hours.
Musk in one of his recent tweets stated that he spent $44 billion for Twitter and now Mark Zuckerberg just decided to copy it.Twitter has claimed that Meta has poached dozens of former employees of Twitter in previous years and many of them still have the access to Twitter's trade secret and confidential information.In response to this accusation Andy Stone, Meta spokesperson, in a Threads post, stated that the engineering team at Threads does not consist of any former Twitter employees.
Twitter has demanded Meta to take immediate action to stop using any Twitter trade secret or other confidential information.
