What will you think, if you are asked about elections, the first thing that'll come to your mind, is a group of people raising slogans, a particular person giving speeches, pamphlets and stickers, but PUCSC elections 2023 seems to have gone far beyond this.
Dogs are now being used for campaigning, stickers of the contesting parties are being stuck on the skin of these animals, recently a dog was spotted with the sticker of CYSS stuck on its skin. Last time happened the same, when a dog was found with NSUI sticker on it.
When a bandage is removed from our skin, we feel immense pain, but then we can express it by crying or shouting, there are people to look after us, there are even medicines and painkillers to ease the pain.
Now just try to imagine the agony felt by these animals when these stickers are peeled off their skins, this is a clear cut example of animal abuse, but so far not even a single activist or student leader has raised their voice against this issue.
The dog was spotted with a CYSS sticker, we are not sure whether this act was committed by a member of CYSS, some other party or just a random person, but isn't it a responsibility of we, the civilized and educated students of this prestigious university, to ensure the safety of animals at least in the campus itself, such acts must be stopped, and the awareness regarding the issues should be spread amongst the masses.
