Right after the world recovered from the terror caused by COVID -19, a new H3N2 influenza virus has been detected in India. Recently, 2 deaths have been reported because of the same.
These have been reported from Haryana and Karnataka. More than 90 cases of this virus have been reported so far.
Dr. Randeep Guleria , Ex - Director of AIIMS has suggested to take more care and take complete precautions. He has appealed to citizens to take the same precautions as COVID -19 such as maintaining social distance, wearing masks and washing hands frequently.
People suffering from this virus are showing the signs and symptoms similar to that of the corona virus which includes a period of cough lasting 12-15 days. The infection might also spread to lungs. Cases of H3N2 are increasing in Rajasthan and mainly attacking children. Some children are being admitted in ICU as well.
