In the latest edition of Forbes India Rich List, Mukesh Ambani grabs the top slot once again with a net worth of $ 92 billion. Adani lost the first position after his wealth plummeted to $68 billion from $82 billion last year, apparently due to the Hindenburg report, which had accused the conglomerate of financial malpractices and stock.
As per the report, the top 100 richest people collectively own $ 799 billion wealth.For Ambani, the listing of Jio Financial Services and the appointment of his children to Reliance Board as non-executive directors worked well.
The third and fourth slots belong to Shiv Nadar with a worth of 29.3 billion and Savitri Jindal with $24 billion, respectively.
Three new entrants made appearance in the Forbes list this year -Renuka Jagtiani of Landmark Group with a worth of $4.8 million is 44th, Dani family of Asian Paints with $8 billion is 22nd and garment exporter K.P. Ramasamy worth $2.3 billion is 100th. Inder Jaisinghani's Polycabs gained from increasing electrification in the country and managed 32nd slot. He is the biggest gainer percentage wise this year.
