Bawa Karwal, a research scholar from Department of Sociology, PU, attended 118th annual meeting at Philadelphia, Pennysylvania.
She is also a member of the Canadian Sociological Association. Karwal addressed the issue of "Gender Gap in Medical Profession: Sociological Analysis" during the 56th Annual meeting held at York University, Toronto. The event took place from May 29 to June 2, 2023, as a part of the Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences. The presentation shed light on the sociological dimensions of gender disparities within the medical field.
Now, she participated in the 118th annual meeting of the American Sociological Association held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from August 17 to 21, 2023, further expanding her engagement with sociological discourse on an international scale.
The theme of discussion was "The Educative Power of Sociology". It is a proud moment for the entire Sociology fraternity.
