7 days NSS camp comes to an end, Valedictory function held at UICET Department Auditorium

Today was the last day of the seven day special NSS camp being organized in Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Professor Sanjay kaushik, Dean college development and council was invited as Chief Guest where Professor Jatinder Grover, DSW, Panjab University and fellow member syndicate and Senate PU and Prof. Amritpal Toor, Dean Engineering faculty and Chairperson UICET, Prof. Praveen Goyal, Senate Member and Prof. Y.P. Verma was invited as Guest of Honour.

The ending session had a start with the lamp lighting ceremony, volunteers performed various cultural activities in the presence of the Guests. Further, addressing the volunteers, the Guests of Honour reminded them that it is essential that they participate in the activities of social welfare and keep aside their own self- interests. NSS volunteers have been a part of social welfare activities in the past and they should continue this legacy.

This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, the winners of the Poster making, Slogan making and Extempore competition were honored with their winning certificates, out of all the volunteers, 12 volunteers were selected as the Best Volunteer.

At last programme officers Dr. Manish Sharma, Dr. Namita Gupta, Dr. Naveen Kuma and Dr. Shankar Sehgal thanked all the Guests, students, faculty and each and every person which brought these 7 days camp to a great success.
