A Grim Wake-Up Call: Over 60 Cattle Die in Chandigarh

Chandigarh witnessed a disturbing tragedy as over 60 cows and calves were found dead at the ABC unit in Raipur Kalan. The incident, which surfaced through visuals and eyewitness accounts has sent shockwaves across the city, highlighting an alarming lapse in animal care and welfare.

Initial observations indicate that the cattle were living in unhygienic and possibly neglected conditions, raising serious concerns about the management of the facility. Animal welfare activists and citizens have demanded immediate intervention, medical audits and strict action against those responsible for the negligence.

The authorities are expected to initiate a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of death. This heartbreaking episode stands as a stark reminder of the urgent need for accountability, regular inspections and humane treatment to ensure that such tragedies are never repeated.
