A meeting on the challenges faced by universities in implementing NEP is being held at PU, with the inaugural ceremony on the 22nd. 150 VCs from around 254 universities have already reached the campus.
The two-day conference will start with the inaugural ceremony on the first day, followed by discussions, an open house, and a questionnaire on the next day. Around 24 issues are kept for discussion, which will be discussed by 10 groups. The representatives of these 10 groups, to be formed, will carefully make a report based on the discussion and submit it to the UGC.
Various groups will discuss issues such as multidisciplinary education, digital empowerment and online education, skill development and employability, research innovation and employability, capacity building in teachers for education and Malviya Mission, Governance and Autonomy, Accreditation and excellence, Indian languages and old age knowledge system, internationalization of education. These are the issues that are carefully taken into consideration to implement NEP better.
PU implemented NEP earlier, so it got the chance to host the conference, said VC. The conference, scheduled to start on the 22nd, will be inaugurated by Jagdish Kumar, Chairman, UGC.
