BH4, Panjab University recently celebrated its annual function with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Emanual Nahar, Chairman of the Minority Commission in Punjab, who presided over the function as the Chief Guest. Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, DCDC, and Sh. Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Deputy Director of PGI, also graced the event as the guests of honor.
The staff and students were recognized and appreciated with cash prizes and tokens of gratitude. During the event, warden Dr. Naveen Kumar, proposed a vote of thanks and highlighted the contribution of Ravi Kumar, a differently-abled resident of the hostel.
Dr. Kumar expressed his appreciation for Ravi and acknowledged that he has become more sensitive towards the needs of differently-abled students due to Ravi's presence in the hostel. He also mentioned that the hostel has now become more friendly towards differently-abled students and that the recent installation of differently-abled-friendly washrooms were possible only because of Ravi's efforts.
The celebration of the annual function highlighted inclusivity and was a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and diversity on campus.
It is heartening to see that the management and staff of the hostel are committed to creating an environment that is welcoming and accommodating for all students. The efforts made by the warden and the staff are highly appreciated and should serve as an inspiration for others to follow.
