BJP on the verge of winning Gujarat while Congress leads in Himachal Pradesh
Results of the Assembly Elections of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh are to be announced today i.e 8 December 2022 and PU Pulse is back with the updates on the same.
Talking about Gujarat voting was held in two phases for 182 member assembly.The three main parties are BJP, Congress and AAP. The BJP has so far received 53.62 per cent vote share, Congress 26.57 per cent and AAP 12.80 per cent. The majority mark here is 92 seats. Big BJP leaders like Mohanbhai Dhodiya, Kamleshbhai Patel, Kanaiyalal Kishori already won the elections.
While the BJP has kept its strong hold by winning 158 seats, INC and AAP have won 16 and 5 seats respectively.
The results till now are opposite in Himachal Pradesh with Congress having lead. Party is currently leading in 40 seats while BJP is still on 26 seats only. Independent candidates also come in the picture here leading in 5 seats and they can be a major factor in deciding the ruling party. Congress has started to shift winning candidates to Chandigarh in order to decide the next course of action.
It will be interesting to see who becomes the king in the 2 states with some big competition to be witnessed. Stay tuned for further election updates with Pulse.
