Blinkit Delivery Agent Arrested for sexual Assault in Noida

A scary incident shook Greater Noida West when a 19-year-old girl was attacked by a delivery guy from Blinkit, an online grocery store, last Friday morning. The girl was alone in her flat when she ordered groceries, and the delivery guy, Sumit Sharma, forced his way in and groped her. Fortunately, she managed to resist and call for help.

After a few days of hiding, the police caught Sumit in Khairpur village after a showdown. The police had a tough time as Sumit tried to escape on the way to the police station. But they eventually found him hiding and arrested him. The accused has been charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those for rape, house-trespass, and criminal intimidation.

Blinkit, in response, said they're helping with the police investigation and couldn't say more right now. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of women living alone. Authorities have promised to take strong action to make sure people feel safe in their neighborhoods.
