After his visit to BMW headquarter in Munich, CM Mann stated that seeing Punjab Government's efforts to promote industry in state, BMW has agreed to set up its auto component unit in Punjab.
BMW denied this statement and today said that it has no plans to set up additional manufacturing unit in the state leading CM Mann to embarrassment.
Opposition is demanding explanation from CM Mann on this matter. Also, SAD leader Daljit Cheema has said that Punjab Chief Minister must immediately bring all the facts on record. It is a question of credibility of the office of Hon'ble CM. What compelled the BMW to issue such a statement.
