Commonwealth Youth Leadership Summit: Aditya Takiar, an impactful leader of ABVP, among the two Indian delegates invited.
Aiming for sustainable and inclusive development, the Asia Region Commonwealth Youth Leadership Summit 2024 is going to be organized from 21st April to 26th April in Malaysia. The Summit is an initiative of the Commonwealth Secretariat, British Council, and the Commonwealth Youth Council, aiming to bring 60 youth leaders from countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives, Singapore, and others together to share their experiences and ideas.
Two youth delegates from India have been invited by the Ministry of Youth Affairs to this summit, one of them being Aditya Takiar, Organizing Secretary of ABVP, Chandigarh, and former State Secretary of ABVP, Punjab. He has completed his graduation from GNDU Amritsar and M.Tech from NIT, Jalandhar.
The 6-day summit is divided into 14 sessions, which include the meeting of Commonwealth Asia Regional Youth Ministries' Senior Officials as well. In addition, the Summit will also consider and establish a Commonwealth Asia Regional Youth Council that will foster regional advocacy, engagement, and cross-cultural learning.
