Violence continues in Haryana. What's the matter?
Fresh violence erupted in Gurugram, past midnight, when a mob set a Mosque on fire, one person was killed and several were injured. 20 units of the Para Military forces have been moved to the city to maintain law and order.
On Monday, a mob in Haryana's Nuh district tried to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession, pelting stones and setting cars on fire. Two home guards were shot dead and about a dozen policemen were injured after a clash broke out between two groups in Nuh. All educational institutions, including school, colleges and coaching centres were advised to remain closed in Gurugram in light of this incident.
Moreover, the State Government has ordered the suspension of internet services in the districts of Nuh, Palwal and Faridabad, and sub-divisions Sohna, Pataudi and Manesar in Gurugram district till Wednesday so as to avoid any sort of miscommunication and chaos among people.
Haryana's home minister Anil Vij addressed the media and said , "It did not seem to be a random act of violence. All communities have been residing peacefully in Nuh. Someone appeared to have incited violence. Someone masterminded and engineered it. Stones, along with weapons and bullets, were stockpiled at various places."
Moreover, CM Manohar Lal Khattar issued a statement regarding the same, saying,"There seems to be a big conspiracy. 44 FIRs have been registered and 70 people have been taken into custody. Strict actions will be taken."
