Delay in PUCSC Elections??
The recent situations of landslides in Himachal Pradesh and farmers protesting in Punjab might cause a delay in PUCSC Elections this year. These protests have created tensions on the borders of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
On one hand, the preparations for elections are at its peak in the university as well as the affiliated colleges .
On the other hand, the protests are ongoing in the university regarding the compensation for people of Himachal Pradesh who are affected by the unfavorable weather conditions along with farmers protesting in Punjab can cause a problem in conducting elections at the expected schedule.
Speculations are being made that elections will be conducted in the first week of September. Panjab University officials have to take special permission from the Chandigarh Administration before announcing the dates of elections. However, no permission has been asked for by the university so far.
