
Father- son duo dies by Suicide, whom to blame?
In a recent incident, a 19-year-old medical aspirant, Jagadeeshwaran died by suicide in Chennai after he failed to clear the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) twice. He was found hanging in the apartment and when rushed to hospital was declared brought dead by the hospital. No suicide note was found as such.
Unable to bear the tragic loss of his son, a single parent Selvasekar hanged himself two days after.Before taking his own life ,he blamed the NEET administration for his son's death and was ready to protest against the NEET for its removal in Tamil Nadu.
Chief minister of Tamil Nadu while offering condolences said, ''I offer my deepest condolences on the demise of student Jagadeeswaran and his father Selvasekar Let their deaths be the last on the altar of NEET."
The number of NEET related suicide has hit number 16 foreseeing which MK Stalin has made special appeal to the president to look into this matter as the NEET Exemption Bill passed by Tamil Nadu Government is pending with the President Droupadi Murmu for her assent.
