Ghazal & Playback singer, Pankaj Udhas dies at his 72
Legendary Indian singer Pankaj Udhas passed away today due to prolonged illness. He was 72.
"With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padma Shri Pankaj Udhas on 26 February due to a prolonged illness", read the statement from the singer's family, announced on social media by his daughter Nayaab.
Known for singing songs like Chitthi Aayi Hai, Udhas is survived by his children Nayaab and Reva.
