From Alumnus to Achiever: Proud Moment for PU as UPSC Welcomes Sheel Vardhan Singh.
A gratifying appointment surfaced the internet on Thursday, depicting Sheel Vardhan Singh, Panjab University Chandigarh alumunus and former DG CISF Sheel Vardhan Singh as a member of prestigious Union Public Service Commission.
This entitlement was awarded to Mr. Singh by honorable President Droupadi Murmu, thus signalling his selection in the Department of Personnel and Training. According to the declaration notice issued for the appointment, Mr. Singh's tenure will begin from the date he will join the office as a member.
However, this achievement is not a result of single day effort but a life long journey of 37 years. He also has served as the Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force, contributed under designation of special director, Intelligence Bureau. In his remarkable tenure he worked as first Secretary in the High Commission of India in Dhaka, also conferred with the President Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2004 and also the President's Police Medal for hitting another milestone in 2010. Mr Singh was not just meritorious in his service, educational background and many others responsibilities in his professions life.
