Under the aegis of HRDC, Panjab University. Chandigarh, a five days workshop on "Learning Startup Skills" commenced on 25th July, 2022 for Ph.D Research Scholars. The inauguration was done by Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Director RPC, PU where he stressed on the dire need of initiating Startups to serve the community and common people. Prof. Sushil Kansal headed this workshop.
Explaining the motive behind the initiative, Jayanti Dutta, Director HRDC, mentioned their decision to make PU research scholars ready for the upcoming challenge for entrepreneurship and owning startups to enhance positive contributions of the intellectual capital to the development of the society.
The Guest of Honor and Keynote speaker was Ms. Ritika Singh who is the CEO of Kontent Factory and is an entrepreneur eventaligst. In her keynote address she talked about the importance to develop self reliance for women and strategy to use available and required skills to initiate a startup, nurture it and earn money and generating employment side by side. The 30 research scholars who were present were inspired by her personal story she shared.
The inagural session ended with Dr. S. S. Bhinder presenting the vote of thanks.
