In a major turn, Punjab congress has suspended Smt. Parneet kaur from Congress party.
Parneet Kaur was the Member of Parliament from the Patiala seat. She is the wife of Former Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amrinder Singh. In a press release today, it has been stated that Raja Warring, president of Punjab Congress has received various complaints against her regarding helping BJP and being a part of anti party activities. The Congress asked her to show cause notice within 3 days stating reasons about why she should not be expelled from the party.
Earlier, her husband Captain Amrinder Singh, had also joined hands with BJP after resigning from the CM post of Punjab. So such a step was pretty much expected from the Congress party already.
