India tour of singer Shubh cancelled over controversial remarks on Khalistani movement

Singing is an art, and when the art is exceptional it becomes a sensation, the same happened with the Indo-Canadian singer Shubh.

The famous singer who gave trending songs like Still rollin and Cheque, had to cancel his hyped up upcoming India tour owing to the negative reaction and backlash from the Indian citizens.

Shubh had shared a distorted map of India,on his Instagram story, while Khalistani sympathiser and rebel Amritpal Singh was on a run, trying to escape the Punjab Police, he shared a distorted map of India on his Instagram story, conspicuously omitting the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and the Northeastern states from the Indian map. Since then the popularity of the singer has been on a downhill.

The most lethal blow to his India tour which was scheduled to take place in mega cities including Chandigarh, came when BoAt, a popular Indian brand pulled out of the sponsorship for the event over the controversial remarks of the singer, like "Pray for Punjab" as if the state was under attack.

The recent developments have proved that the extent of the love of the Indian citizens for their motherland is far beyond trending songs and if they can gift an artist with immense success they can also take it back.
