The arrest of PCS officer Narinder Singh Dhaliwal was taken to the next level by the Vigilance Bureau . After the arrest, civil servants of the office went on mass casual leave till January 13 and protested against the Government but today CM Bhagwant Mann issued a strict notice against them.
As per the notice, the Government has asked the officers to join the duty by 2 pm otherwise, they will further issue the suspension notice.Also,the absence of officers should be treated as dies non.
Mann termed this strike as 'illegal' by mentioning that no one will get relief over the corruption charges in the state whether it's my Relative or my close ones.
It may be noted that PCS officers are protesting the arrest of Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, posted as Regional Transport Authority in Ludhiana, for allegedly taking bribes from transporters, IAS officers are resentful over the registration of a case against their colleague Neelima in the PSIEC land bifurcation case.
Also, During their meeting with Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua, some IAS officers were even threatened to resign.
