Lost in Partition, an uncle-nephew reunion amidst celebrations of 75 years of India's Independence

92 years old Sarwan Singh, resident of Sandham Village, finally received the opportunity to meet his nephew, Mohan Singh, after 75 years of independence. They had initially met through a video call but then decided to meet physically at Sri Kartarpur Sahib.

His long lost nephew was 6 years old when partition riots had broken out. He was then adopted by a Muslim family and has been living at 371 Chakk of Pakistan as Afzal Khalif.

With 22 members killed and 23 members of the family reported missing during 1947, Mr. Singh's happiness had broken bounds when the meeting was decided. He, along with his daughter Rachpal Kaur, left for the aforementioned meeting today.
