Education is the most important weapon to empower the youth but what if the right remains accessible only to the economically privileged ?
Today, the UILS department released a fee notice for 3rd ,5th, 7th and 9th semester( LLB) which observed a hike of about 13%.
The first installment fee which was Rs.56175 /- for the 3rd semester was raised to 63205 /- . While for 5th, 7th and 9th semester the fee bumped upto 60905 /- , 60905/- and 58160/- respectively.
It is unfortunate that a self finance department increases fees every year by such a large amount has caused discontent among Student Parties as well as they expressed their concern for the same.
Saksham Sharma of ABVP, a student of BA LLB 4th year and his allies raised their voice against the increment and submitted a memorandum regarding it and also spoke about it to Secretary to Vice Chancellor.
Kulrattan Singh Nagra, student of BA LLB 4th year from PUSU party also raised the issue and mailed his concern to the administration.
