Its been a month since Panjab University Campus student council elections but it seems that heat of the elections is not over yet. Yesterday ABVP raised many questions and put allegations on the Director of UILS over the fake admission process of PUCSC President Aayush Khatkar.
Today, ABVP along with NSUI reached at UILS and protested for the same. They met with VC and raised several concerns about only 13 seats being available for admission in Judicial and Advocate quota, but in the list that is uploaded on the official website, Katkar's name has been mentioned with a special box by giving him an extra seat. Not only this, he also took admission on 7th October as per records but then again, his name came in merit list on 17th october. Along with that two more names came into highlight, which have higher marks than Aayush and the names of those candidates are not in the list listed on October 3rd. They put allegations over Director of UILS blaming her for the fake admission process just so that Aayush can contest elections.
On the other hand, CYSS also marked all these allegations as fake. They said they have nothing in box now. Rather than defaming the winning candidate, opposition should do something for student welfare. NSUI- ABVP are a mix process of 75-25. Most of the NSUI members are wearing Khakhi Nikker under their blues.
CYSS also raised the question that why ABVP State Secretary withdrew his name from the statement they released yesterday, and why is no one from UILS ABVP involved in the protest.
Although the matter also got sorted out once before when it came into limelight during the nominations, but this time it's again getting heated up. Now it would intersting too see if PU will witness some twist this time in politics?
