Last Sunday a 29 year old Engineering Graduate, Jamisha Mubin was reported dead due to a car blast in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Recently National Investigation Agency (NIA) found out that this incident was probably a failed attempt by a 'suicide bomber' but he was still unskilled and inexperienced about explosives. Due to this fortunately there was no damage to the surrounding areas that might have included several houses and also a temple as informed by six suspects that were arrested by NIA.
On investigating further, NIA found that the accused along with his associates had bought LPG cylinders and steel drums which were later filled with potassium nitrate, aluminum powder, and other explosives and loaded into the car by them. CCTV cameras also captured them roaming around the same place before the incident happened. On being enquired, a few suspects have agreed to their connections with ISIS and the accused's links to them have also been found.
According to witnesses this incident happened at about 4 a.m. when there was a sudden LPG explosion from a car followed by which a burning man stepped out of it and died on spot.
The investigation is still under process. Two of Mubin's partners have been arrested and the rest are being interrogated. NIA is trying to find the motives behind their connections with ISIS.
