NSUI state Joint Secretary suspended from DAV college on alleged misconduct with authorities

On Orientation day at DAVC Sector 10 Chandigarh, State Joint Secretary NSUI, Navdeep Singh was suspended for misconduct with professors.

As per information, The incident involved a student and an outsider from NSUI who misbehaved with teachers after attempting to enter the premises towards the end of the event. The Auditorium's capacity had already been exceeded, leading to a tense situation.

The administration stated that these NSUI members had a history of misbehavior, including a previous incident with a political leader. Despite attempts by professors to explain the situation, the NSUI members persisted in their misbehavior and even filmed a professor to threaten the authorities.

In response, the Principal of DAVC decided to cancel the student's admission due to his repeated misconduct. The authorities expressed that the student's seat could be reinstated if he apologizes to the professors concerned. While the authorities maintained that they don't hold a personal grudge, they highlighted the importance of respecting guidelines and disciplinary measures.

DSW, Ms. Purnima, acknowledged students' right to contest elections and campaigns but emphasized the need for discipline and adherence to guidelines. She stated that a positive political atmosphere should prevail, discouraging negative tactics or indiscipline.
