In a major announcement, the Haryana Government has recently announced a pension for single and widowed people. This move is aimed at providing financial assistance to those who are unmarried or widowed and have no one to support them financially. It is a step towards ensuring that they are not left behind in society and can live with dignity.
The pension scheme for single and widowed people in Haryana was announced by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar. Unmarried persons between the age of 45 and 60 years will get a pension of Rs 2750 per month. Pension is for those whose annual income is less than 1.8 lakhs. Pension has also been announced for widows between the ages of 40 and 60 and help in providing with the financial assistance they need.
This initiative by the Haryana government is a positive step towards creating a more inclusive society where everyone has access to basic necessities.
