Political Crisis in Bihar, Nitish Kumar resigns as CM, breaks his ties with NDA

Nitish Kumar in a meeting held with his party MLAs, reportedly said the tie-up with the BJP was over as the saffron party was not giving "respect" and "conspiring" against him so Kumar submitted his resignation after this meeting to the Governor.

Nitish Kumar is expected to retain the CM post by forming a new coalition government with the Tejashwi Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

In his resignation he mentioned "I have resigned as the CM. All MPs and MLAs of the JD(U) are at a consensus that we should leave the NDA."
