Today CYSS protested in Law department. A number of questions were raised on Mayank Karla's admission, an LLM course student from Law Department of Panjab University. CYSS protested against his admission and claimed that it wasn't by the rules.
After a long protest, discussion and reluctance from the department, the Chairperson Prof. Devender Singh called for a meeting with JAAC. In the meeting it was finally decided that Mayank's admission wasn't fair and his provisional admission was revoked.
Yesterday CYSS while changing the game raise allegations on ABVP Joint Secretary admission in the press.
CYSS protesters said that they're fighting for student rights and will continue to do so. They claimed that it's their responsibility to keep the university fair for all students and to make sure that such repeated incidents of favouritism are looked upon. While targeting ABVP, they also claimed that the party doesn't take responsibility for its own activists and denies Mayank as a supporter of ABVP, but the proofs presented by CYSS clearly state that he has been assigned duties in the Elections.
They have also asked for further Vigilance inquiry on the entire admission matter to prevent this from happening in future.
