PU Campus girl students win their consecutive 7th Gold medal in the Inter College Chess Championship organised by Panjab Univerity recently.
The championship consisted of 17 brilliant teams from all over Punjab competing for the gold medal. However, it was the University girls team that again shone bright with their consistent efforts to win their 7th title back to back in a row. The team won highest matches in the championship thus reaching an unbeatable score that led them to victory in the game of focus and discipline.
Team members include Vanshika Sharma from UICET, who played on 1st board, 2nd on board was Monika from UILS, Mathematics department's Shruti Dogra was 3rd, while Dyuti Dutta from UIET was 4th on board and Krishi Mittal from UILS was an additional player. PU Pulse takes pride in their achievement and congratulates the team for its consistent efforts.
