PU student claims Ex Deputy CM’s son to be involved in a drunken attempt of assault and kidnapping.
Coming from Sector 17 of Chandigarh, a PU student alleges that Punjab’s Ex Deputy CM’s son, had physically assaulted, and made an attempt, to kidnap the student. On the evening of August 24, victim Narveer Singh, who is pursuing Law in the University, states that he had gone to Sector 17 to eat food.
In the meantime, the son of Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa (who has also served as the Deputy CM of Punjab), came to the location along with his gunmen in a drunken state. Allegedly, after reaching the location, Udayveer Singh Randhawa and his gunmen attacked the victim, and forced the victim into getting into their car, at gunpoint.
With the chaos and ruckus continuing, the alleged party, dropped Narveer at the Police Station of Sector 17. Chandigarh Police treated the Victim of a head injury faced by him during the assault, after which he was detained in the station, interrogated and ultimately released the same evening.
The cause of this entire incident, can be dedicated to old enmity between Narveer Singh and Udayveer Singh Randhawa. The two have been known to have multiple fights on regular occasions; however the cause of this enmity can not be defined.
