PU Student Sarvottam Rana along with NSUI's 3 more party leaders, arrested under IPC 307 for protesting against 'Agnipath' outside of JP Nadda's house, get bail
NSUI leaders Jagdeep Singh, National Delegate of NSUI and PU student Sarvottam Rana, National Coordinator Pranav Pandey and General Secretary of NSUI Vishal, who were protesting against the Union Government over 'Agnipath' scheme in Chandigarh and attested by Police for the same, have been granted bail through protests staged by NSUI to grant the same.
The protestors arrested were protesting against the hotly debated 'Agnipath' scheme outside BJP President JP Nadda's house. The protestors were arrested under IPC 307 and were detained in Tihar Jail. One of them is also Student of Panjab University.
The protestors were not being granted bail at first, so NSUI, with its National President Neeraj Kundan, NSUI Secretary Gaurav and Delhi NSUI President Kunal, staged protests against the arrests outside the Tihar Jail, demanding the release of the detainees.
After getting bail, students met with President BV srinivas for the guidance and motivation.
"This is the victory of truth and defeat of BJP", said Manoj Lubana, President, Chandigarh Youth congress in his media conversation with PU Pulse.
