Questions on bypolls after BJP candidate; Sarvesh Singh dies after voting
Polling in Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency happened in the first phase. And one day after it Kunwar Sarvesh Singh, a BJP candidate, who has been ill for a long time, was undergoing treatment at a Delhi hospital. He had some problem in his throat and had an operation. Yesterday, he had gone to AIIMS for a check-up.
He hails from a royal family and was the only Thakur candidate among the eight seats from Uttar Pradesh. Just after the nominations he was reported unwell and appeared only twice in the public during the campaigns.
Now the queries are being raised about the bypolls in this constituency after the demise of Sarvesh Singh. Anyhow, if the seat is won by the bjp candidate, the Election Commission will conduct bypolls in Moradabad, but if any other opposition candidate wins the election, they will be declared the winner.
