Recent announcement feels like a dream come true for lakhs of devotees to receive their year end blessings, who've been waiting to get a glimpse of Ram Lala. Champat Rai (secretary general of Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust) told that January 2024 will be the date when the mandir will be ready to welcome people into its sanctum sanctorum where Lord Ram's idol will be placed.
The temple is being built without any iron implementation costing a lumpsome of 1800 crores and will be housing 392 pillars and 12 doors. Mr. Rai said that these efforts will make the mandir earthquake resilient and would thus last at least a thousand of years.
It covers an area of 2.7 acres and will be constructed using precious marble from Rajasthan and according to a word from project manager Jagdish Aphale the temple is being made such that sun's rays would directly fall over Ram lala on the occasion of Rav Navami.
