According to a survey by pCloud, a cloud storage company, Instagram is the most invasive application and shockingly shares 79 per cent of personal data with third party companies. Facebook comes second while Netflix, Signal, Skype, Clubhouse do not share data at all.
Instagram, one of the most used applications, has over a billion monthly active users. It shares data including browsing history, personal information and purchase information. Moreover, 86 per cent of data is used for marketing Facebook products.
The information was collected by pCloud according to Appstore's recent privacy labels. LinkedIn and UberEats share 50 per cent data, YouTube shares 42 per cent and eBay shares 40 per cent data.
