SOI, PUSU, SFS efforts bring success, fee hike on hold till next meeting, students can pay the unrevised fee by August 17.
Fee hike which became the trending topic recently in PU had a successful outcome which was achieved after four days of Joint Protest by SFS, PUSU, SOI and the unwavering support from students. The PU authorities faced an indefinite strike in response to the fee hike issue, but has eventually agreed to forward the recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor for consideration.
While the fee hike has been rolled back, the parties involved have clarified that the matter is not fully resolved and will be further discussed with the Senate till then the student parties will continue to voice the concerns of students.
The students are further advised to pay the unrevised fees as the last date to pay the fee has been extended to August 17. The recommendation will be furthermore forwarded to VC and after that the balance fee will be charged according to the decision.
Separate notice for this will be out soon. Earlier almost all Student Parties submitted a Memorandum regarding the fee hike issue.
