Ache din, a myth for two students of Delhi University who were detained inside their flat on PM Modi's visit.
In a recent development, the student wing of CPI-ML, AISA, has made serious allegations against the authorities. According to AISA, their activists were reportedly "detained" inside their flats and prevented from leaving during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the university.
CPI members threw light on the fact that, their members were allegedly confined to their flats and had their freedom of movement restricted during PM Narendra Modi's visit to the university on Friday.
AISA also claims that their activists were unable to leave their flats while the Prime Minister was on campus. This incident has raised concerns about the curtailment of individual rights and freedom of expression within the academic environment. Official response from the University and government against these allegations is awaited.
This incident highlights the ongoing debate surrounding the balance between security protocols for high-profile visits and the protection of individual rights, particularly within the academic setting.
It underscores the significance of ensuring that all individuals, including students, have the freedom to express their opinions and engage in peaceful protests within the boundaries of the law.
Earlier, PM Modi took a metro on his way to DU and interacted with the passengers ahead of his DU visit. The PM travelled to DU where he also laid the foundation for three buildings. PM's this move was highly appreciated on Social Media.
