University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, has achieved significant success in securing research grants from various schemes like CRG,SURE and CSRI.
A total of six members, including five faculties and one fellow, have been awarded grants totaling over 2 crore INR. The recipients of these grants are Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, former Chairperson of UIPS and Head of Pharmacology Division; Dr. Anurag Kuhad; Dr. Sangeeta Pilkhwal Sah; Dr. Gurpal Singh; Dr. Sandip V. Pawar; and Dr. Manish Jain, who is a Ramalingaswami Fellow.
These grants have been provided to support cutting-edge research in several important areas including colorectal cancer, autism spectrum disorder, fluorescence-based DNA-RNA hybrid photosensor diagnostic for early stage Alzheimer's disease, occlusive vascular disorders etc.
This achievement highlights the UIPS's commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and conducting impactful research in critical fields. The grants will enable these researchers to make significant contributions to their respective areas of study and an opportunity for break through new knowledge and discoveries.
