A regular teacher got appointed on all the regular terms of PU and suddenly received a letter from college about their termination while stating the reason for no workload.
The incident is of RSD College of Ferozepur city affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh as it had recently fired three teachers namely Manjeet kaur, Kuldeep and Lakshmindra Bhorival giving them a letter stating that there is no workload and their services are no longer required in the college providing them with a three months salary in advance, this came as a complete shock to them as some of them had been teaching in regular basis in their fields for as long as 12 years and also mentoring students who have been pursuing PhD under them. Two teachers are from the Punjabi Department and one of them is from the History Department.
In response to this one of the teachers Manjeet Kaur had written a letter to the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Vice Chancellor of Panjab university, and the Directorate of Higher Education in her declaration she had penned down that she's been working for the College as an Assistant Professor of Panjabi on a regular basis since 2012 and the reason for her withdrawal is no workload.
An argument raised by her is that the appointment letter at the time of her hiring had been given by Panjab university itself so the college has no authority to discharge these teachers.
She has called for an action against this cruelty and demanded the Justice and warned that if no action is taken and no one listens to this appeal then she'll commit suicide in front of the College Gate.
The professor attached the letter with all the various facts and along with her appointment letter of 2012 and the selection letter approved by Panjab University which raised more questions on such actions taken by college administration.
