Three men namely Varun, a bank employee, Ankit and Deepanshu of Anandpur Sahib have been arrested by Chandigarh police for stalking and eve teasing girls outside MCM DAV College, Sector-36.
According to the sources, the two victims, both students of MCM DAV College, were returning to the college from the nearby market on Sunday when they were stalked by three men. The suspects had passed disrespectful comments at the girls due to which the girls started to record its video on their phones. Following this, the men started threatening them and tried to snatch their phones stating political connections. They also threw 20 rupee notes on the girls
A case under section 341, 354-D, 366, 379-A, 506, 509 and 511 of the IPC was registered at the Sector 36 police station.
