PU witnesses a major fall in its rank in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings

In the recently released list of THE Asia University Rankings-2022, Panjab University saw the slope going downwards as its ranked dipped by 22 positions, from 175th to 197th.

With scores 52.6 in citation, 35.4 in industry income, 16.5 in international outlook, 18.2 in research and 39.2 in teaching, the University has always maintained its mark between overall score 32 to 37.9; the last year's

overall score being 34.

The director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), PU, Professor Sanjeev Sharma assured about evaluating the rankings and a review to pinpoint the possible areas of improvement.

Along with the decline in rank, a fall in the number of students per faculty was also witnessed, from 20.3 to 15 this year.
