On Sunday, according to the Air Quality Index(AQI) the city's air quality became very bad. AQI was above 300 at all three sectors 22, 25, and 53 monitoring stations. It made contact with sectors 315, 329, and 53 at the sector 25 station, sector 22 station, and sector 53 station respectively.
At two monitoring stations on Saturday, the air quality was near the poor category of 300: 278 in Sector 22, 293 in Sector 25, and 304 in Sector 53.
Sensitive groups should avoid outdoor activities because the effects on their health will be felt right away. Normal people are more likely to have trouble breathing and have irritation in their throats; think about staying inside and rescheduling activities outside.
People who are exposed to the AQI for an extended period of time experience difficulty breathing as a result. An AQI of 201 to 300 is categorized as "poor," 301 to 400 as "very poor," and 401 to 500 as "severe."
According to sources in the UT administration's environment department, "temperature inversion may be the cause of this change in air quality." Since there has been no wind for the past few days, it could be caused by an anti-cyclonic condition," sources added.
