Chandigarh administration opens Sukhna flood gate after alarming rise in water level

The Indian Monsoon's wrath is not yet over as the Chandigarh administration had to reopen a flood gate of Sukhna, after the water level rose above 1162 feet yesterday.

The scary incessant rain spell in July, which had caused massive destruction led to the reopening of the Sukhna flood gates after four long years.

This year's monsoon has brought more sorrows than relief to the Indian masses.The sword still hangs on the head, as after the continuous rainfall from past two days,the water level has risen to alarming level in many water bodies including Sukhna.

The administration is monitoring the situation continuously to maintain the balance of water level.
