About 89 of the parking spots in Chandigarh where parking slip was issued after paying by cash will soon have the amenity of FASTag as well as being able to pay through UPI.
Not only this, but a Smart app will also be developed that will be able to track the free parking spaces. It will be helpful to the drivers as well as will remove the need for manual checking for empty spaces.
Post new year, smart CCTVs will also be installed at the 89 parking lots to scan the number plate of cars and track them. A lot more features will also be added to these paid parking spots for the ease of entry, parking and exit.
