Sanvi Sood, a 8 year old girl from Ropar, has made the country proud by climbing the highest peak of Russia- Mount Elbrus. The 5642 meters high peak challenges the mountaineers with its freezing cold temperatures, snow and gutsy winds. But this brave child, inspired by Bollywood movie 'Everest' and motivated by her father Deepak Sood, who himself loves mountaineering, conquered the fears of her tender mind and reached the zenith of mountain.
Sanvi had earlier made a record by becoming the youngest Indian girl to Scale the Everest base camp. She had also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of Africa prior to this venture.
Mountaineering requires fitness of mind and body, as slopes are tricky and many lose their lives during the climb. Sanvi's agility and determination at this age is commendable. She is at present a student of class II in YPS Mohali.
