A new scam has come into limelight in one of the most well known telecommunication company's branch in Chandigarh . An engineer in BSNL has been accused of a scam worth 5.4 crore rupees. The engineer, identified as Sh Swaranjit Singh, was an SDE (Sub-Divisional Engineer) at the North Zone Nodal Center BSNL against whom an FIR (First Information Report) was filed by CBI on 12th January under section 154 by the AGM (Assistant General Manager) Vigilance at BSNL.
The scam is said to have caused a huge revenue loss to the company. Several surprise investigations were carried out in the month of January to find out if the allegations against Singh were true. On reaching the informant about his complaint, Pulse got to know that the two accused people currently have been posted in Kerala. Since then, the matter has been under investigation, and Rajiv Gulati has been appointed as the enquiry officer to investigate the case further.
This incident raises concerns about corruption and fraudulent activities in government organizations. It is essential for companies to implement strict measures to prevent such scams from occurring in the future.
