PGI Injection mystery Solved
Six days after an attempt to kill a pregnant woman admitted to the gynaecology ward of PGIMER, the Viral Injection Mystery case continues. With cross-accusations flying, it appears to be a case of contract killing. The police have identified a mysterious woman believed to be the main accused, who, on the night of November 14, directly approached and administered two pre-filled injections to the new mother. Suspicions arose when a distinctive odor was noticed, prompting the woman to flee when questioned by the victim’s sister-in-law.
A case has been lodged at Sector 11 police station under Section 308 of the IPC for an attempt to commit culpable homicide. Husband Gurvinder Singh accuses his wife’s family, stating that the victim’s family, always against the relationship, has tried to harm them whenever an opportunity arises. On the other hand, the woman’s family denies involvement and instead suspects the husband and his family.
Meanwhile, a deficiency of working CCTVs in the gynaecology ward proves to be a major hurdle in the case, as no video evidence is present to assist the investigating team.
